There is a FIRST time for EVERYTHING!

First, I have to say it is pretty good, three kids and five years of no major accidents and injuries for the kids! (sorry, can't say the same for Mommy)

Last Saturday Taylor and Reaganne were playing outside while Daddy mowed (as usual), but this times was different! Someone got hurt ;( Taylor was running on the wall with his crocks on the wrong feet and tripped and fell chin first on the rough jagged brick wall and bounced off to the ground! After trying to clean it and see how bad it was. I figured that I would feel better if we went to get it checked out and plus it was little but gapping open like a fish mouth so it probably could use a stitch or two. It was nice now that we have our new Insurance that we get to go to the Care Now for $50 instead of always having to go to the ER for $100. I made the appointment online and they called right back and told us to head up! The Care Now is two miles away which is so nice...WELLLLLL, if anyone knows my son, Taylor is TERRIFIED OF HOSPITALS/DOCTORS(EXCEPT DR.REISLER/SICKLER)! As most of you know I have spent a lot of time in and out of hospitals in Taylors short 4 years! The one person that always took it the hardest was my Taylor! He HATES when I leave him at a friends house while I go to the doctor because he always thinks I am not coming back to get him, because usually that is what happens, I would get admitted or something were I had to go get test done and it would take me a long time to come get him. So, anyway, when Taylor heard that I was going to take him to the Care Now to get stiches or have them look at it, he ran to his usual hiding place (under the kitchen table) and started crying and was so scared, the poor boy went pee in his pants! SOOOO SAD!!! I was feeling horrible and trying to not cry myself! He was screaming, no shots (HE HATES SHOTS) and no needles! I had to drag him out from under the table and Randy had to help hold him so I could change his clothes. He was getting blood everywhere and we needed to go. It was the most surreal and saddest moment for us as a family, as I had to carry him out of here to the car, kicking, punching me, and screaming NOOOOOOO! I turned to look at Randy and Reaganne and we were all crying it was so sad! We hated to have to make him go, but we needed to have someone look at it. I got him buckled in somehow, I guess I had extra Mommy strength, he kicked my seat and hit the door the entire way there screaming. When we arrived, I parked as close as I could to the front door. I called Randy, doubting my decision, I was so scared of bringing him in there the way he was, I was embarressed and scared he would cause problems for the people in there. I called the facility to tell them I was outside and ask what they did for kids that were this scared. They said, "Well we see you out and see that he is very upset, and if you bring him in, we will put you all in a room right away with a movie." Okay, how sad is that they were watching from inside as my son punched and screamed at me. LOL Lovely...So, as soon as we walked through the doors, they through some papers at me to sign and then took us right back...Taylor immediately stopped screaming and just clung to me until we got in to the room. He got to pick up his movie and he was fine...WHAT????? All that drama for nothing..well...that is what I thought! He was fine as the Nurse asked him questions and then she showed him a picture from 1 to 10 with happy to sad faces on it. She asked him to pick the face that described his pain of his bow-bow! He pointed right to this one sad face, and she said that looks about right...He said proudly, "I picked 4 because I am 4!" Hahahaha..smart boy! She was so impressed with his amatter-of-fact attitude! hahaha Got to love Taylor and his logic! So, THEN the doctor comes in and he has to sit on the bed, and she makes me hold his head to clean it and look at it. He was good for all of 2 swipes of the cut, and then he started jerking his head around. She decided then that there was no way she was going to get the stitches in, so we opted for glue and a bandaid and to come back in two days to check it. So, we did that and barely got that on...

Reaganne's first Thanksgiving Feast at school!

A cold James waiting for Breakfast!

An awake James going to Grandma and Grandpa Grumbles....

BUT two sleeping kids on the way to Grandma and Grandpa Grumbles..it takes 45-hour to get there..never fails they always fall asleep!

REAGANNE'S FIRST SLEEPOVER....AT Grammy Paula's with Emma
Grammy Paula and Reaganne headed out to the sleepover...

They had a lot of fun! They played dress up, painted their toes and hands, got in the hot tub twice, made cookies, brownies, made dinner and ate with the Missionaries, did their hair, and played played played! So, Paula wanted to have a sleep over for the girls, I was a little reluctant to have Reaganne spend the night away from home at age 5. I knew she would be safe and in good hands, but STILLLLLL! So, I was pressured a little, and then I finally agreed. So, Reaganne was very excited about going and got all her stuff packed three days early and was very anxious! The day came and she was invited over to Connors house to play and then left for the slumber party around dinner time. Well, I was sure she would want to come home or call me upset later that she wanted me to come over, but she only cried when she left and saying good bye to Daddy on the phone and when she hugged me good-bye. She called about 9:30 and was saying goodnight, but they were getting in to the hot tub. Paula thought it would be easier for her not to talk to me right before bedtime so she did not get sad. Well, I guess the only person that was sad was me...I paced back in forth all night and Randy kept asking me if I was okay! I was having a hard time...;( Then I knew she wouldn't be home until around lunch time, but then the first call came and Paula said they were going to stay until 4 then the second call came, she was making chicken and mashed potatoes for the Missionaires to come over and eat, so the girls wanted to stay and eat...HOW can I beat Mashed Potatoes...Reaganne lovessss Mashed Potatoes. So, come 8 pm, I am building with anxiety wanting Reaganne to come home. I finally call Paula, and I say, "Stop talking, and bring my daughter home..hahha" She started laughing and said we are loading up right now!" Whew...I was about to explode...I had worked for 10 hours straight to get my work done, so I would be free to do whatever Reaganne wanted to do when she got home. I was so excited I got Barbie Princess Island and was ready to snuggle up and watch the movie with her. She got home and was very excited to be home, and told us some of the the things she did and what all she ate!

Taylor could not resist himself! Reaganne and Emma after 26 hours away from home...yep, 26...don't think I was counting..because I was..I was in Reaganne withdrawl!!!

We thank Paula for loving our family and being so good us! Reaganne had a blast and Taylor is waiting for the Boy Slumber Party...hahaha Thanks Paula..we love you!

When my 3yo niece got stitches, she wasn't as crazy as Taylor was, but still not very cooperative. They had gone to the Care Now, too, and they wrapped her up in a tight blanket like a little burrito to keep her from moving. So, sad, though. Poor Taylor.

What a sad, fun, exciting, and busy post! Glad the chin is healing and Reaganne and you both survived the night away from each other. We have already had several nights without the girls. It gets a little easier each time.
