Christmas Eve at The Grumbles

This year we kept old traditions and started new traditions. It has been a great DAY! The morning started out really early, Randy and Taylor went and help clean the Church Bldg. Taylor has been waiting a long time to go and help, so he was very excited. Reaganne got to go last time, so they trade off. When they came home, Randy and the kids surprised me with a couple of Christmas gifts that I had NO idea about. Ever since we had an apartment activity here at the community, and I had popcorn out of 'old fashion' popcorn maker, I have wanted one. I am always asking the the front office is popping popcorn that day, because I just LOVE IT. The kids love popcorn too. Well, he got me a popcorn maker and cell phone charger for the car. I am so HAPPY with my two gifts, and love the fact that Randy surprised me for the first time in forever with a gift. The kids and I jumped up and down for awhile and then headed right to the kitchen to make our first POPCORN BATCH OF THE DAY! Parmesean flavored. YUMMY!

Then we baked cookies for Santa. Andes Mint Chocolate Chip Cookie Sandwiches and Decorated homemade sugar cookies.

Then we had to take a time out, b/c poor James stepped on a metal cookie cutter, and sliced his foot in two places. It bled pretty bad, but we finally got both of them to stop and then wrapped it. He was limping all day after that accident. Poor baby. ;( Then he wanted cuddles from Mommy, so I got a break from the kitchen too. ;)

Then we were all better and ready for Round TWO of the Popcorn. So we all sat on the couch and watched National Lampoons Christmas Vacation (my all time favorite) and then we all took naps except for Reaganne. She actually cleaned the apartment, made all three of their beds and enjoyed some cookies and popcorn by herself while watching some cartoons. We woke up and had Round THREE of Popcorn, and opened our FAMILY GIFT of Uno and Skip Bo. We sat around the table and enjoyed eachother and a little friendly competition. LOL There is a lot of competition in this house!! ;)

Then we gathered around the tree and read the story of Jesus' Birth from the Scriptures, and The Christmas Donkey.
Now the kids are fast asleep and have left their pictures, cookies and milk for Santa.

OKAY-I tried to get many pictures of the kids and me, BUT they were WAY too hyper! So, this is what I had to do! They were all laughing I PROMISE! lol
