The Grumbles Family: James first day of Preschool/Bus

James started Preschool at Beaty this past week. He has Taylor's teacher from last year, which we are so grateful for. We love Mrs. Referente and all the Beaty teachers and Speech Therapist. James is going five days a week and has Speech for six minutes a week in 15 minute intervals. He was very brave and happy this entire week. He is also riding the bus to and from school. He gets picked up at 7:45 AM and dropped off at 11:10 AM. He is the last to get picked up and the first to get dropped off, so that makes me VERY happy. He LOVES the bus. The drivers are so sweet and loving. We are very blessed everything is working out so well for him. Me...on the other hand, this has been one of the hardest things to go through...I have really had to learn to let go. I know it is only three hours a day, but I have barely let James out of my sight since bringing him home from the hospital three years ago. Everytime the bus drives away, I get that lump in my throat and my eyes well up. His smiles and chants of "Mommy, Mommy" when he gets off the bus help a lot!!! These pictures will take you through his first day and the second day of school but first day on the bus!

Then Mommy had to make the LONGEST WALK DOWN THE HALL AND OUT OF THE BUILDING she has ever taken...*big tears* I called Randy and had a mini panic attack...couldn't breathe...it was WAY harder than I thought. ;(
