2010-2011
Reaganne is doing so much better adjusting to school. She has multiple spelling test since the beginning of the year. They were extra challenging in the beginning of the year, but she has really blossomed over the last couple of weeks. Every three weeks they have a Unit test of 30 words. I cannot believe that 1st graders have 30 word spelling test! She just had a test before the Thanksgiving break, and she got a 26/30! Whoohooo! She did AWESOME! The four she missed are the four words that she is getting extra help on, the hears 'f' for 'th' and vice versa. She mixes up 'e' and 'a' too in some words. She hears it and then sounds it out the way she hears it, but I would think it would be hard with all the teeth she is missing. LOL She has lost four teeth in one month. LOL She is too cute too with her toothless smile! ;) She is growing up so fast, with challenging me every moment. She cracks me up with counting down to her school breaks, and extra long weekends. She jumps in the van and the first thing out of her mouth will be, "five days without homework, Mommy! LOL She loves playing way more than school! I was the same way! I am looking forward to getting her into some extra curricular activities after the first of the year.
Taylor is growing up way too fast. He just turned 5!! AAAHHH FIVE! I can't believe that! He loves school, and learning and getting assigned each day to a new 'job'! He will either be the flag holder, office helper, or line leader. He loves his teachers and cooking on Friday's! We received his first report card, and he passed with flying colors, he scored above on all areas. This preschool is the best thing for him and getting him ready for Kindergarten! We are sooo blessed to have him in this program. I really hope that James will have the opportunity to attend the Preschool too. Taylor loves playing Wii and is into Lego Batman, Indiana Jones, Harry Potter, and Star Wars. All his boy cousins are into them too, so when they all get together, they play with each other and learn from one another.
I am very blessed to have some very happy kids that love playing with each other. They love role playing and for the most part are really nice to each other. There are those moments when they fight, but it ends as fast as it starts. It is sweet to see Reaganne practicing her reading by reading to the boys. They are very excited about Christmas coming, and are working on their lists. Which I have to say are pretty long, but I think that they will be happy this year as they are every year with new toys to play with.
