Day 9...Time is standing still...

Ok, so first I have to say I was reading my blog last night, and I want all of you to know my grammer is really not that bad. I think much faster than I type...;) Sorry for the mistakes.

Ok, so today he is on 45% and will remain there until he receives two good blood gases in a row. They want two high numbers, preferably high 80's to 100. That shows them that he can handle the wean. I was fustrated talking to the doctor today, because they weren't weaning him all day, but he explained the process, which of course is different than another doctor. They are all so different to me. Don't get me wrong he looks good, is not too sensitive, and is stable for the moment. He has improved tremendously, I just hate hearing that he won't be home for a couple of weeks. They are happy with his improvement and don't feel that the horrible things we talked about Wednesday are in our near future if he keeps off 100% oxygen. I just want to hold my baby, I got to help change his linens, diaper and take his temperature. That was great! I have some pics of him, he looks much better than the past couple of days. He is 7 lbs and 12 ounces now. He looks heavier in the picture than he does in person, however he looks good, minus the wires and tubes. Sorry if some of you don't think it is appropriate, however it might not be, but he really looks better today than the past week. If you look closely in the vertical picture he is smiling. All day I was kissing his nose and rubbing his feet and head and he was squiching his face and smiling. He was so much more calmer today and let me wash his face and lips. He was just on a very low dose of the fentynal drip too. He has not had a strong seditive since yesterday afternoon. ;)

He's beautiful Meganne! He looks so big and chunky! Your blog is now the first thing I check every day. I'm glad he's improving. We are all praying for James. Love you!
